This LHD Range Rover L405 is one of two identical vehicles that were prepared in 2015 by JLR for a proposed expedition to the Darién Gap, a 60-miles roadless stretch of jungle on the borders of Panama and Colombia.

The vehicles were prepared with winches, off-road tyres and modified tow hitches, together with roof racks and side awnings. Both vehicles were provided with specially modified Penman trailers painted to match the vehicles.

Very little is known about the proposed expedition other than the fact that it never took place!

The other vehicle was apparently returned to standard specification and sold, making this example the sole survivor.

It still has only 9,100 kilometres on the clock.
