Vehicle spec:
This is a Series III LHD Station Wagon with production number one. It was converted to RHD when a 2.2 Overhead Cam test engine from the Rover car was trialled.

To clear the carburettor the steering box had to be moved to the other side – hence now RHD!

The date of the conversion was 1971 and a few other vehicles were converted. The engine was not a success, however, as it had very little torque low down but it did rev well! There is not much difference from a standard Series III otherwise.
