Between 1951 and 1956, Société Nouvelle Minerva SA, of Mortsel near Antwerp, Belgium, assembled CKD kits under licence from Rover,  mostly for the Belgian Army, with locally built all-steel bodies which had the distinctive angular sloping front wings. This vehicle was built in early 1981 at Land Rover’s Drayton Road engineering facility and registered on 3 March. Executive Engineer Bob Platt was enthusiastic about the potential for a recreational, lifestyle and leisure vehicle and his team created the unique Series III you see here.
