Camel trophies unveiled at Dunsfold!

These spectacular awards are now on long term loan to the Collection courtesy of Nick Horne, who was the Camel Trophy Event Co-ordinator between 1990 and 1994, the Event Manager from 1994 to 1996, and then the event Director from 1997 until 2001. 

Nick has also donated his amazing personal collection of Camel Trophy documents, photographs, memorabilia and a great deal more.

Forty members of the Camel Trophy Club including their chairman Chris Hewett attended, together with Bob and Joe Ives, Nick Dimbleby, ex-Camel team members Richard Mumford and Mike Seal, and journalist Jeremy Hart, who participated in several Camel Trophy events from 1986 onwards.

We are extremely grateful to Nick Horne for his generosity in loaning the awards to us, thereby allowing Camel enthusiasts and Land Rover fans more generally the opportunity to see the beautiful trophies at Dunsfold, and grateful to the Camel Trophy Club for their support today.
