Over 250 visitors arrived to glorious autumn weather. Over half of the vehicles on display have not been seen for quite a while, and we also had new displays including the ‘barn find’ Series I 80-inch OPB 922 discovered earlier this year on a farm in Hampshire, where it had been gathering dust for 40 years.

Glorious weather throughout, apart from a thunderstorm on Saturday afternoon. Good to catch up with Friends of the Collection and bump into a few ex-JLR people, catch up on the gossip, and welcome some new Friends. We are told that the event will be held around the same time next year, and we’ve already added it to our diaries.

Flying to Gatwick on Friday, the group jumped into their hire cars and arrived at Dunsfold mid-morning, spending several hours with us before heading off to the Brooklands Museum.

Almost 100 club members and their vehicles arrived on 27 April to spend the day with us on what was our biggest private tour so far. We ensured that all the Collection’s Series I vehicles were on display, and Philip and Richard provided very interesting talks on vehicles in the Collection.
